Engineering Wishlist

Wish list for the Engineering team. (Most of this is for our Summer Refit/overhaul. MDRS R2!) This has been updated based on team suggestions. We could use someone to actively solicit donations.

Building Materials & Supplies:
  • Lumber, 2x4's and 2x6's
  • Plywood. (4 4x8 sheets.)
  • Two 2x10 sheets 28 ga. Tin sheet metal
  • Several sections tin roofing material or Solar PV roofing material.
  • 4 yards concrete.
  • An external Fire escape or caged ladder.
  • 6 strong cots & Covers
  • 32 3" heavy duty hinges
  • Several rolls of GOOD Non toxic, no formaldehyde, Fire resistant insulation.
Electrical:
  • 2 4Kw True Sine wave 12V/117 volt inverters
  • 1500Ah of 12VDC Home power grade batteries.
  • 1 ea roll of 12Ga wire (black, white, green)
  • 1 ea roll of 18Ga wire (black, red, green)
  • 1" Poly (Buriable) conduit
  • 1" EMT conduit
  • 3/4" EMT conduit
  • 1/2" EMT conduit
  • 25-50' each of 1/2" and 3/4" flexible conduit
  • Conduit benders
  • Assortment of fittings and clamps
  • 1 12" square metallic junction box
  • 12Ga Wire nuts
  • Ground clamps
  • Several hundred High intensity LED's (both red and white)
  • 20 power diodes, 12v <500mA
  • 20 12VDC regulators (7812's)
  • A couple sheets of Copper clad circuit board OR a board manufacturer who will make some for us.
  • 10 1Ah 12v LiIon (or even NiCd) batteries)
  • 36 12VDC florescent fixtures.
Plumbing:
  • 3 12V RV water pumps (Preferably one like the ShurFlow Smart SensorT 5.7
  • Water Pump or any decent 45PSI, 3 GPM pump)
  • 1 12V RV water pump (any decent 45PSI, 3 GPM pump)
  • 1 small RV water accumulator tank.
  • 150 feet 3/4 buriable Poly water piping.
  • 150 gallon (or bigger) Diesel tank
  • 150 gallon (or bigger) Gasoline tank
  • 150 gallon (or bigger) water tank.
Computers and Networking:
  • 4 802.11a/g access points, Preferably 200 mw "long Range" units
  • 2 Orinoco 4000 802.11a/g access points/Bridge
  • 4 Uni-directional 12dB (ish) antennas
  • 7 802.11a/g PCMCIA cards
  • 7 802.11a/g PCMCIA cards Preferably 200 mw "long Range" units with
  • external antenna connectors
  • 3 Omni-directional hi gain antennas
  • 1 router, W/ 802.11a/g Access point built in.
Electronics:
  • 12 Business band radios
  • The manufacturers help in building headsets into the helmets, or 8 good (Really Good) headsets.
  • 3 business band repeaters. Preferably 12VDC powered.
  • 4 15 foot sections of heat tape.
  • 2 25 foot sections of heat tape
Appliances:
  • 2 LP/117VAC Fridges. (one full sized, one small unit)
  • High efficiency 117 cook top/oven OR RV LP units
  • 2 LP RV Furnaces (About 35000 BTU) or 10 LP high efficiency catalytic heaters (about 5000 BTU) These MUST be interior grade.
Supplies to be consumed during the refit:
  • 250 Gallons of Diesel fuel
  • 200 Gallons Gasoline
  • Food for 6 man months
  • 2 cases Beer,
  • 2 cases Martinelli's sparkling Grape juice.
  • Rental / use of a small powered trencher
